The fina version of our paper is out in eLife: https://elifesciences.org/articles/104118 We show that in hummingbird hawkmoth flight control, natural input prevalence shapes the visual field partitioning of two parallel pathways (lateral-optic flow based control versus directional guidance), but safety relevance determines the integration hierarchy.
